The legislative process is the central social and political tool that enables laws to be proposed, drafted and passed to regulate various social relations and problems. In order to ensure quality legislation, it is important that the legislative process is applied in accordance with the rules and laws that control its operation and structure. Civil society and interest groups influence the legislative process through various methods. The link between trade unions as a stakeholder group are presented. The aim of the thesis is to identify how trade unions can influence the legislative process, while at the same time identifying the means by which they are most likely to succeed. To achieve the objectives, an analysis of primary and secondary sources and literature is used, and a questionnaire is distributed to members in trade unions who hold at least one function within the organisation. The methods mentioned in the paper are also used by the trade unions, and an analysis of the responses to the question on their usefulness and effectiveness provides an answer to the thesis.
