Športno novinarstvo v času COVID-19 : magistrsko delo

V magistrskem delu se posvečam analizi dela športnih novinarjev v času pandemije COVID-19. Športno novinarstvo velja za posebno novinarsko področje, katerega ključna komponenta so za javnost izjemno priljubljeni športni prenosi ter intervjuji s športniki in trenerji. Cilj magistrske naloge je predstaviti bistvene razlike v delu športnih novinarjev in komentatorjev pred in med pandemijo COVID-19, ki je prinesla marsikatero drastično spremembo na vsa področja našega življenja. V teoretičnem delu magistrskega dela je predstavljeno novinarstvo na splošno, značilnosti in specifike športnega novinarstva in športno novinarstvo v primerjavi z drugimi tipi novinarstva. Sledi opis dogajanja v času pandemije; podrobneje je opisano tudi, kaj se je v tem času dogajalo s športnimi tekmovanji in športnim novinarstvom. Glavni del magistrske naloge predstavlja empirični del, ki temelji na kvalitativni analizi usmerjenih intervjujev, ki so bili opravljeni z različnimi športnimi novinarji in komentatorji. Na podlagi pridobljenih informacij bom predstavil, na kakšen način so se športni novinarji in komentatorji prilagodili na novonastalo situacijo.

• Title: Sports journalism during COVID-19

Abstract

In my master's thesis, I focus on the analysis of the work of sports journalists during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sports journalism is a special branch of this profession. The key components of it are sports broadcasting, which is extremely popular for the public, and interviews with athletes and coaches. The aim of the master's thesis is to present the essential differences in the work of sports journalists and commentators before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, which brought many drastic changes in all areas of our lives. In the theoretical part of the master's thesis, journalism in general, the characteristics and peculiarities of sports journalism and sports journalism compared to other types of journalism, are presented. This is followed by a description of what happened during the pandemic and a detailed description of what happened at sports competitions and sports journalism. The main part of the master's thesis is the empirical part, which is based on the qualitative analysis of directed interviews conducted with various sports journalists and commentators. Based on the information obtained, I will show how sports journalists and commentators have adapted to the new situation.
