Abstract
Različne oblike transporta so bile prizadete različno. Mednarodna pomorska trgovina je kljub težavam in zapiranjem pristanišč finančno uspevala, zračni transport je kratkoročno močno upadel, vendar tudi močno zrasel, medtem ko je železnica v omejen obsegu vsaj začasno prevzela omejen delež tovora cestnemu in pomorskemu transportu. V nalogi sem ugotovil, da so fiskalni ukrepi in vzpodbude vplivali na zvišanje povpraševanja ter da so finančni kazalniki logističnih podjetij tekom pandemije pretežno pozitivni.

Title:MACROECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE LOGISITCS SECTOR OF SELECTED COUNTRIES
Abstract:
The COVID 19 pandemic had a profound impact on the economy, logistics and people’s lives all over the globe. Countries implemented different sets of measures to combat the effects of the pandemic, preserve lives and prevent an economic disaster. COVID 19 caused a series of problems and challenges for supply chains but also opportunities. The macroeconomic consequences of different measures are still impacting the world today. The main aim of the master’s thesis was to analyse the macroeconomic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and government measures on the logistics sector using different macroeconomic indexes. Different transport modalities were impacted in distinct ways. International maritime trade financially prospered despite initial problems and port lockdowns. Air Transport was initially heavily impacted, but also experienced substantial growth. The Rail industry had transported a limited portion of cargo in the short term, that was usually transported by Sea or by Road transport. Through the master’s thesis I concluded that fiscal measures and stimulus had an impact on the rise in demand and that the financial performance of logistics companies was mostly positive during the pandemic.
