The thesis analyzes three selected plays by Slovenian playwright Simona Semenič from the perspective of literary theory and linguistics, more precisely stylistics. The plays under discussion are Jaz, žrtev. (2007), 24ur (2006) and sedem kuharic, štirje soldati in tri sofije (2014). The aim of the thesis is to provide a more detailed analysis of the salient elements in terms of content, form and language, leading to the discovery of more levels of plays. Before each type of discussion, I also made a brief historical overview of the methods of analysis and various theories from each field. I found that a frequent theme of her texts is a critique of modern society, and the content is an example of a social problem. Linguistic analysis showed that the author does not follow the spelling rules in all her works and that the expressions are often in colloquial language, both of which give the plays a certain specificity.
