Preživljanje prostega časa v predšolskem obdobju

Abstract
Prosti čas je v današnjem svetu zelo pomemben; potrebujemo ga prav vsi ljudje, od najmlajših do najstarejših. Predstavlja sprostitev od opravil, ki se nam nakopičijo v dnevu, med prostim časom pa naj bi se ukvarjali s stvarmi, ki nam pomenijo največ in so nam pri srcu. Otrokom je treba v najzgodnejšem otroštvu približati dejavnosti, ki krepijo njihov celostni razvoj. Odrasli, vzgojitelji in starši ali skrbniki imamo pri preživljanju prostega časa otrok v predšolskem obdobju veliko vlogo – dolžni smo jih usposobiti, da svoj prosti čas preživljajo kakovostno. V teoretičnem delu je opredeljen prosti čas in prosti čas otrok, pri čemer je poudarjeno, da morajo otroci svoj prosti čas preživljati čim bolj kakovostno. Z raziskavo, s katero sem želela raziskati, kako dobro so odrasli oz. starši seznanjeni s preživljanjem prostega časa svojih otrok, sem ugotovila, da starši zelo dobro poznajo osnove preživljanja prostega časa v predšolskem obdobju in se njegove pomembnosti zelo dobro zavedajo. Staršem je glavno, da otroke s pogovorom dodatno motivirajo za kakovostno preživljanje prostega časa in za izbiro prostočasnih dejavnostih, prav tako se zelo dobro zavedajo pozitivnih učinkov prostega časa na otroka, še posebej pomembnosti razvoja njegove osebnosti. V večini se strinjajo, da imajo njihovi otroci dovolj prostega časa, in navajajo, da otroci za preživljanje prostega časa najraje izbirajo športne aktivnosti in druženje z vrstniki ali prijatelji.

Title:Spending leisure time in the preschool period
Abstract:
Free time is very important nowadays, as everyone, from the youngest to the elderly, need it. It is a way to take a break from everyday responsibilities. During free time, we usually do things that mean the most to us and that we appreciate. In their early childhood, children must be familiarised with things that stimulate their overall development. Adults, kindergarten teachers and parents or guardians assume an important role when it comes to children’s free time in the preschool period – we must teach them to spend their free time participating in quality activities. The theoretical part defines free time and free time of children, stressing that children must spend their free time participating in quality free-time activities. By conducting a research, I tried to study how well adults and/or parents are aware of ways in which their children spend their free time. I determined that parents are well familiar with basic guidelines on how to spend free time in the preschool period and that they are well aware of its importance. They find it the most important to additionally motivate their children through conversation to spend quality free time and choose quality free-time activities. In addition, they are well aware of the positive effects of free time on children, especially its importance for the development of children's personality. They mostly agree that their children have enough free time, stating that their children are most likely to spend free time participating in sports activities and socializing with their peers or friends.
