Abstract
V diplomski nalogi se ukvarjam s proučevanjem žanra grozljivk in s tem, kako se v tem žanru množično ponavljajo klišeji. V prvem delu sta na kratko predstavljena psihologija groze in pogled na žanr z družbenega vidika, kjer se vprašam, zakaj je ljudem všeč občutek strahu. Kot izhodišče so postavljena potencialna teorija, ki jo postavi Sigmund Freud o psihologiji groze in uncanny valley, ter razmišljanja Stephena Kinga in Noëla Carrolla na to temo. Nato sta predstavljena zgodovinski pregled grozljivke in ključna razlika med grozljivkami, srhljivkami in subkulturo žanra parodije. V nadaljevanju se osredotočim na zgodovinsko analizo parodije in serijo film, da te kap, od koder so črpana glavna vizualna izrazna sredstva za nastanek praktičnega dela, predstavljenega kot parodija na absurdnost ponavljajočih se klišejev v žanru. Za konec analitičnega dela, še predstavim knjigo, ki mi je najbolj pomagala pri raziskavi teme, Steven King – Danse Macabre. Sledi kratek fokus na zgodbo mojega kratkega filma in kaj hočem s tem filmom povedati in prikazati. Nato na kratko opišem proces, skozi katerega sem analizirala, kaj je bilo potrebno za izpeljavo končnega dela. V nadaljevanju sledi analiza prej omenjenih množično ponavljajočih se klišejev in njihove vloge v modernem prikazu v filmski industriji in na koncu tudi primerjava z mojim filmom in kako so ti klišeji izraženi in pretirani v mojem delu, proti delu mojstrom.

Title:Clichés in the horror genre
Abstract:
The thesis studies the horror genre and how clichés are repeated in this genre. The first part briefly presents a reflection on the psychology of horror and a look at the genre from a social perspective, wondering why people like feeling afraid. The starting point is a potential theory put forward by Sigmund Freud on the psychology of horror and the uncanny valley, as well as the reflections of Stephen King and Noël Carroll on this topic. This is followed by a historical overview of horror movies and the key difference between horror movies, thriller movies, and the subculture of the parody genre. Afterwards, the thesis focuses on a historical analysis of parody and on the scary movie franchise from where the main visual means of expression are drawn for the practical work. The latter is presented as a parody of the absurdity of repeated clichés in the genre. To finish the analytical part of my thesis, a comparison is drawn with my film and how these clichés are expressed and exaggerated in my work. In the end, I present the book that helped me the most in researching this topic, namely Stephen King's - Danse Macabre. Here, we break from theory and briefly focus on the story of my short film and what it aims to prove. Then, I briefly describe the process through which I analyzed what was necessary to produce the final work. This is followed by an analysis of the massively recurring clichés and their role in the contemporary film industry.
