Indija je država, v kateri je hindujska tradicija še vedno zelo prisotna. V diplomski nalogi se ukvarjamo s tem, kako hinduizem razume materinstvo in kako se ta prepričanja kažejo v družbi. V hindujski mitologiji je skozi boginjo Lakšmi prikazan ideal materinstva, ki mu morajo slediti vse ženske, saj se materinstvo dojema kot primarna in najvišja vloga vsake Hindujke.

• Title: The Influence of Hinduism on the Image of Motherhood in India

Abstract

India is a country where Hindu tradition is still very present. In the diploma thesis, we deal with how Hinduism characterizes motherhood and how these beliefs are manifested in society. In Hindu mythology, through the goddess Lakshmi is shown the ideal of motherhood, which all women must follow, because motherhood is perceived as the primary and highest role of every Hindu woman.
