Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava teme, ki zadevajo etiketo v Joseonu s poudarkom na namiznem bontonu. Skozi zgodovino je bonton prisoten v vsakdanjiku posameznika in zajema določena pravila spodobnega vedenja v družbi. Slednja se razlikujejo glede na kulturo, zgodovinski čas in pripadnosti določenemu družbenemu sloju. Namizni bonton in konfucijanska načela imata v Koreji še danes vlogo ter sta sooblikovala življenje v dinastiji Joseon. Elementi namiznega bontona in pravila v zgodnjem ter poznem obdobju Joseona so se razlikovala in hkrati bila podobna. Prebivalci Joseona so sledili spodobnemu osnovnemu bontonu pri obedovanju za mizo. Razdelil se je na etiketo pri navadnem obedovanju obroka in etiketo pri ceremonialnem obroku. Prav tako se je razlikovala etiketa, ki so jo upoštevali ljudje pri tem, ko so obrok jedli sami ali v krogu družine ter etiketa pri obedovanju v javnosti. Zajet je oris elementov, ki so bili del osnovnih pravil namiznega bontona med različnimi družbenimi sloji. Diplomsko delo predstavi bonton kraljevega dvora, višjega sloja in nižjega sloja v dinastiji Joseon. Poudarek je na spodobnemu namiznemu bontonu v kraljevem dvoru in višjem sloju. Skupek pravil glede vedenja pri obroku se je delil na bonton za ženske in moške. Danes je še vedno pomembno znanje o etiketi v dinastiji Joseon, saj bonton med prisotnimi pokaže spoštovanje in oblikuje tudi njen sodobni pomen.

Title:Etiquette in Joseon: Focus on the Table Manners
Abstract:
Dissertation discusses themes connected to etiquette in Joseon with focus on table manners. Throughout the history, etiquette is a part of individual everyday life, which includes a certain rules of behaviour that are followed in society. Latter differentiate based on culture, historical period and certain social class affiliation. Table manners and Confucian principles hold importance in modern Korea and they co-shaped life in Joseon Dynasty. Elements of table manners during Early and Late Joseon were different, but in some aspects similar between those two periods. Joseon population followed appropriate basic etiquette during meal. It divided into ordinary meal etiquette and etiquette during ceremonial meal. Additionally etiquette was differentiated by that it was abided by people, when they ate meal alone or with family and etiquette followed in public. Captured is outline of elements, that were a set of basic table manners within different social classes. Dissertation presents etiquette of royal court, high class and low social class in Joseon Dynasty. Emphasis is on table manners of royal court and high social class. Set of rules of behaviour was different regarding table etiquette for women and men. Nowadays knowledge of etiquette in Joseon Dynasty still holds importance, because etiquette between present people shows respect and forms etiquettes' modern meaning.
