The problem I deal with in my thesis comes from my own experience of training in pointe shoes and finding the most suitable ones. Through interviews and surveys, I have shown that all ballerinas face this problem, from beginners to professionals. I have researched all the features of pointe shoes that are necessary for a ballerina to choose the most suitable ones. I focused on the parametric dimensions of the pointe shoes and defined them for each brand. I researched the influence of a certain foot dimension on the parametric dimensions of the pointe shoe. The design of the device is based on a 3D scanner that I designed to meet the needs of the research problem, which are ease of use, possibility of assembly, portability and allowing specific foot positioning during scanning. Finally, I designed a service for the product concept.
