Abstract
Content and language integrated learning (CLIL) is an approach that combines the learning of content and language. There are various CLIL models and CLIL materials are a common feature of EFL coursebooks. This MA thesis examines the problems of defining CLIL, CLIL methodology, the benefits and challenges of CLIL, and the characteristics of CLIL materials. The empirical part consists of an analysis of six EFL coursebooks that are used in Slovenian primary schools. The discussion presents the results of the analysis: while the analysed coursebooks follow CLIL principles to various extents, the included CLIL contents all leave room for improvement.

Title:Vključevanje celostnega vsebinsko-jezikovnega učenja v osnovnošolske učbenike za angleščino
Abstract:
Celostno vsebinsko-jezikovno učenje (CLIL) je pristop, ki združuje učenje vsebine in jezika. Obstajajo različni modeli celostnega vsebinsko-jezikovnega učenja in gradiva, temelječa na tem pristopu, so pogosto vključena tudi v učbenike za angleščino kot tuji jezik. Magistrska naloga proučuje probleme definiranja celostnega vsebinsko-jezikovnega učenja, metodologijo tega pristopa, njegove prednosti in izzive ter značilnosti gradiv. Empirični del vsebuje analizo šestih učbenikov, ki se v slovenskih osnovnih šolah uporabljajo pri pouku angleščine. V diskusiji so predstavljeni rezultati analize: čeprav analizirani učbeniki v različnem obsegu sledijo CLIL načelom, vključena gradiva puščajo prostor za izboljšave.
