Vpliv ukrivljenosti vodil na točnost izdelave tiskanih vezij s ProtoLaserjem

Abstract
Elektronska industrija se iz leta v leto povečuje, prav tako se povečuje gostota komponent in povezav na tiskanih vezjih. Tiskana vezja postajajo vse manjša, kompaktnejša, hitrejša, dosegajo višje izkoristke ter manjšo težo. Globalni trend miniaturizacije elektronike predstavlja številne prednosti tako za potrošnike kot industrijo. Pri tem tako cena kot količina zahtevanega materiala za izdelavo tiskanih vezji upada, kar je za potrošnika ter industrijo idealno, za podjetja, ki tiskana vezja izdelujejo, pa predstavlja ogromen tehnološki zalogaj, saj postajajo zahteve za točno in natančno izdelavo čedalje strožje. V sklopu diplomske naloge sem se posvetil analizi vpliva ukrivljenosti vodil na točnost izdelave tiskanih vezji laserskega sistema ProtoLaser, podjetja LPKF d.o.o. Naloga diplomske naloge je ugotovitev ali, in kako, je mogoče z dosedanjimi kalibracijami pridobiti informacijo o zasuku pomične mize pri premikanju po vodilih, kar vpliva na točnost izdelave tiskanega vezja. Nadalje ugotavljamo ali lahko s pomočjo matematične simulacije mehanskega sklopa določimo zahtevano toleranco ravnosti vodil za doseg zahtevane točnosti ProtoLaserja. Prvi del diplomske naloge je namenjen seznanjanju bralca z različnimi metodami izdelave tiskanih vezji, ozadju delovanja ProtoLaserja ter kalibracij, na koncu pa je predstavljeno še ozadje delovanja matematične simulacije, analize kalibracije in merilnega principa. V drugem delu so predstavljeni rezultati meritev, simulacije ter analize kalibracije, katere komentiramo ter med seboj primerjamo.

Title:The effect of the curvature of mechanical guides on the accuracy of printed circuit board manufacturing with ProtoLaser
Abstract:
With every year the electronic industry is expanding, and with it, the density of electric components and connections on printed circuit boards (PCBs). PCBs are becoming smaller, more compact, faster, with greater efficiency and smaller weight. The global trend of electronic miniaturization brings countless advantages for consumers as well as the industry. With it the price and amount of needed material for manufacturing is decreasing, which is ideal for consumers and industry, however for the companies who manufacture PCBs this represents an enormous technological challenge due to increasingly strict requirements for accurate and precise manufacturing. As part of my thesis, I had focused on the analysis of the effect of curved motion system guides on the accuracy of PCB production on the laser system ProtoLaser from company LPKF d.o.o. The task of my thesis is to determine if, and how, it’s possible to obtain information of table rotation from current calibration methods, which affects precision of PCB manufacturing. With the help of mathematical simulation, we further explore if it is possible to determine the required flatness of mechanical guides to achieve the required accuracy of ProtoLaser. First part of the thesis is intended to acquaint the reader with various methods of PCB manufacturing, the background of ProtoLaser operation and its calibrations, and at the end, the background of mathematical simulation, calibration analysis and measurement principle is presented. In the second part results of measurements, simulations and calibrations analysis are represented, commented and compared together.
