Final thesis focuses on the development of an ultrathin heat pipe container, used in heat pipes with width of less than 0,5 mm. Special attention was given to the development of an internal wick structure, which was made using laser structuring process of the copper foil with thickness of 105 μm. Surface topography of the wick structure was inspected using optical microscope, while wicking performance of the manufactured wicks was inspected with specially made setup measuring a speed of surface wettability. Container of the ultrathin heat pipe was sealed using process of laser welding. Microstructures in the shape of deep and narrow channels were proven to be efficient wick structures of the inner surface inside the ultrathin heat pipe container.
