Abstract
Dejstvo, da so današnji otroci vešči informacijske tehnologije, je pokazatelj, da imajo otroci možnost samostojno uporabljati računalniški program, ki jim omogoča reševanje nalog brez prisotnosti učitelja ali starša. Izpostavljeno dejstvo je bilo vodilo celotne diplomske naloge, saj se zavedamo, da je za učenje računanja in branja ključna vaja. V ta namen smo razvili sistem, ki je cenovno dostopen in otrokom omogoča vajo ter utrjevanje znanja. Diplomska naloga opisuje celoten postopek priprave sistema za učenje računanja in branja na platformi Raspberry Pi 4. Z namenom priprave optimalnega programa diplomsko delo na začetku vsebuje veliko raziskovanja na področju začetnega razvoja učenja računanja in branja, pravilnega pristopa k učenju, standardov znanja v prvem in drugem razredu osnovne šole in težav otrok pri računanju ter branju. Raziskali smo tudi vpliv na uporabo informacijsko komunikacijskih tehnologij za motivacijo otrok pri učenju. Nadalje opišemo platformo Raspberry Pi, s poudarkom na modelu B četrte generacije in vzpostavitev ter prvi zagon Raspberry Pija, na katerega smo naložili operacijski sistem Ubuntu verzije 20.04. Programsko kodo, za izvedbo naloge, smo napisali v programskem jeziku Python, ki se izvede v terminalnem oknu. Za prepoznavo in zapis govora smo uporabili Googlov Speech-to-Text API, ki prebrano zapisuje v poimenovano cev, v kateri Pythonova programska koda išče pravilno prebrane besede. Sistem dosega standarde svojega namena za efektivno učenje računanja in branja, vendar bi potreboval še grafični vmesnik, ki bi s svojo prijaznejšo podobo dodatno stimuliral otrokovo pozornost. Programska koda je napisana na preprost način, ki omogoča nadgraditev programa glede na potrebe ali zahteve posameznika.

Title:A Raspberry Pi 4 Based System for Learning Math and Reading
Abstract:
The fact that today’s children are proficient in information technology is an indication that children have the opportunity to use a computer program independently, which allows them to solve tasks without the presence of a teacher or parent. The highlighted fact was the guiding principle of the entire diploma thesis, as we are aware that exercise is key to learning to calculate and read. For this purpose, we have developed a system that is affordable and allows children to practice and consolidate their knowledge. The thesis describes the entire process of preparing a system for learning to calculate and read on the Raspberry Pi 4 platform. In order to prepare an optimal program, the thesis initially contains a lot of research in the field of the initial development of learning to calculate and read, the correct approach to learning, standards of knowledge in the first and second grade of primary school and children’s problems with calculating and reading. We also researched the impact on the use of information and communication technologies to motivate children in learning. Next, we describe the Raspberry Pi platform, focusing on the fourth generation Model B, setting it up and it’s first booting, on which we loaded the Ubuntu operating system version 20.04. The program code, which performs the task, is written in the Python programming language, which is executed in a terminal window. To recognize and record speech, we used Google’s Speech-to-Text API, which writes what is read into a named pipe, in which the Python program code searches for correctly read words. The system meets the standards of its purpose for effective learning to calculate and read, but it would also need a graphic interface that would additionally stimulate the child’s attention with its friendlier image. The program code is written in a simple way that allows the program to be upgraded according to the needs or requirements of the individual.
