Textile, artistic and scenographic aspects of video projections at opera Agrippina are an additional product of scenography design, in the process of which, our team decided to upgrade its textile and art form from the digital point of view - video projections.
The thesis focuses on textiles, as an element of mood storytelling, the search for art forms through the process of experimentation and the discovery of my own: new approaches to design in correlations with the existing scenography.
The theoretical part begins with the analysis of textile as the main medium of communication. Consequently I continue with the subchapter on textile art followed by an explanation of some key elements of digitally supported fine art. The description and comparison of video with film will be done in parallel with the definition of an opera and its essential features. The chosen concept of sustainable - "poor" opera (opera povera) is crucial for understanding of the final product - video. In each chapter, It describes authors and works that had the strongest influence on forming the second - creative part of my thesis.
In the creative part of my work, I begin with the opera summary. I continue with the development of scenographic and video concepts, approaches and methods of recording the videos where justification of textile and artistic meanings of videos are my first thoughts. Individual actions, montage selections, experimentations and explorations of editing possibilities are made in Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 and in the GL Mixer projection program. I continue with the analysis of various tests and photographs of the final product - a series of videos that complement textile, visual and scenography aspects of the opera Agrippina, directed by Rocc.
