Abstract
Končni izdelki avtomobilske industrije in proizvodnje bele tehnike morajo dosegati stroge standarde glede zahtevanih maksimalnih vibracij in hrupa, kar je neposredno povezano z utrujanjem materiala in udobnostjo uporabe izdelka.

Title:Characterisation of the influence of bituminous insulation on the vibration response of a slab
Abstract:
The final products of the automotive industry and the production of white goods must meet strict standards regarding the required maximum vibrations and noise, which is directly related to the fatigue of the material and the comfort of using the product. For this purpose, self-adhesive bitumen insulation is often used to dampen vibrations. As part of the final assignment, we will characterize the influence of the amount of bitumen insulation on the dynamic properties of a slab. The dynamic properties were determined by setting up a numerical model and its accuracy was evaluated by the experimental modal analysis procedure. We analyzed different degrees of coverage of the board with bitumen insulation through frequency response functions, identified eigenfrequencies and eigenshapes, and determined the minimum necessary amount of coverage of the board to achieve sufficient damping. It was found that to satisfy damping, we do not need a completely covered surface, but most of the damping would be achieved even with a smaller coverage.
