Abstract
V diplomskem delu je prestavljen vpliv obdelovalnih parametrov, kot sta rezalna hitrost in podajanje, ter vpliv zaščitnih prevlek na življenjsko dobo krožnih žag namenjenih žaganju grafitnih komutatorjev na segmente. Zaščitne prevleke se v praksi uporabljajo zaradi zmanjšanja trenja in rezalnih sil ter povečanja življenjske dobe orodja. Uporabljene so bile različne zaščitne prevleke na osnovi TiAlSiN ter AlCrN. Raziskali in primerjali smo, kako obdelava z različnimi parametri in različnimi zaščitnimi prevlekami vpliva na povprečno število izdelanih kosov na žago. Ugotovili smo, da lahko z ustreznimi obdelovalnimi parametri in pravo zaščitno prevleko dosežemo manjšo obrabo krožnih žag in s tem daljšo življenjsko dobo orodja.

Title:Influence of processing parameters and protective coatings on durability of circular saws in the manufacture of graphite commutators
Abstract:
The thesis presents the influence of processing parameters, such as cutting speed and feed on durability of circular saws intended for sawing graphite commutators into segments. Moreover, the influence of different protective coatings on durability of circular saws was studied. Protective coatings are used to reduce friction and cutting forces and increase tool durability. In this study various protective coatings based on TiAlSiN and AlCrN were used. We researched and compared how different parameters and different protective coatings affects the average number of manufactured pieces per saw. We found that appropriate parameters and the right protective coating can reduce tool wear and increase service life of circular saws.
