Using the results of analyzes of certain physicochemical methods, I will try to determine the composition of an unknown sample obtained by the following synthetic route: The potassium dichromate(VI) solution is placed in an ice bath and added the excess concentrated sulfuric acid(VI) while stirring. Then the excess of ethanol is added slowly while the solution is still being cooled. The temperature must not rise too much. Once all the ethanol has been added, the solution is left at room temperature. The crystals can are separated from the remaining solution.
