Karakterizacija neznane kromove spojine

S pomočjo rezultatov analiz določenih fizikalno-kemijskih metod bom poskušala določiti sestavo neznanega vzorca, dobljenega po sledeči sintezni poti: Vodno raztopino kalijevega dikromata(VI) postavimo v ledeno kopel in ji med mešanjem počasi dodajmo presežek koncentrirane žveplove(VI) kisline. Nato ji počasi dodajamo etanol, prav tako v presežku in pazimo, da se temperatura ne dvigne preveč. Ko je dodan ves etanol, raztopino pustimo na sobni temperaturi, da se z izhlapevanjem topila izloči produkt. Kristale ločimo od preostale raztopine z nučiranjem.

• Title: Characterization of an unknown chromium compound

Abstract

Using the results of analyzes of certain physicochemical methods, I will try to determine the composition of an unknown sample obtained by the following synthetic route: The potassium dichromate(VI) solution is placed in an ice bath and added the excess concentrated sulfuric acid(VI) while stirring. Then the excess of ethanol is added slowly while the solution is still being cooled. The temperature must not rise too much. Once all the ethanol has been added, the solution is left at room temperature.The crystals can are separated from the remaining solution.
