Air transport presents one of the fastest and most efficient means of transportation. Therefore, it is increasingly used. In recent years, this industry has been considerably
developing, and it demands from its users to update the equipment constantly. One of such users is the SAF (The Slovenian Armed Forces). Until recently, the SAF has not invested as much in the new equipment's purchase as it has in the maintenance and modernization of the existing equipment. At some point, the updated equipment did not suffice the demands and needs anymore. Hence, people at the SAF decided to buy a C-27J Spartan tactical transport
aircraft. In the Bachelor thesis, we briefly described the aircrafts and helicopters of the SAF (the emphasis was on the L-410 Turbolet aircraft). They are also used for transportation purposes. Additionally, we described the C-27J aircraft to compare its performance with the current transport aircraft. In the comparison, we have found that the new C-27J aircraft will be the most capable aircraft in the SAF. Then, we determined the aircraft's performance for two different hypothetical operations, graphically compared the given results, and explained why there was such a variation between the results.
