Abstract
V diplomskem delu sem razvil in delno validiral HPLC metodo za določanje pet vitaminov skupine B v prehranskih dopolnilih. Delo je obsegalo pripravo ustreznih standardnih raztopin, optimizacijo pogojev analizne metode, pripravo umeritvenih premic, delno validacijo metode, pripravo in analizo vzorcev. Metodo mi je uspelo optimizirati do te mere, da lahko z njo kvalitativno in kvantitativno določim vsebnost petih vitaminov skupine B v enostavnih vodotopnih vzorcih. Delna validacija je obsegala določitev linearnosti, ponovljivosti, meje zaznave in meje kvantifikacije. Metodo lahko uporabimo za analize vzorcev, ki vsebujejo niacin (vitamin B3), pantotensko kislino (vitamin B5), piridoksin (vitamin B6), biotin (vitamin B7), in cianokobalamin (vitamin B12). Metodo sem preizkusil z analizo dveh vzorcev, in sicer sem določil vitamine v vitaminskem instant napitku Siti z okusom pomaranče ter v CBD vodotopnih kapljicah z vitamin B kompleksom.

Title:Determination of B vitamins in food supplements
Abstract:
In my thesis, I developed and partially validated an HPLC method for the determination of five B vitamins in food supplements. The work included preparation of appropriate standard solutions, optimization of the analytical method conditions, preparation of calibration curves, partial validation of the method, sample preparation and analysis. I have managed to optimize the method to the extent that it can be used to qualitatively and quantitatively determine the content of five B vitamins in simple watersoluble samples. The partial validation included determination of linearity, repeatability, limit of detection and limit of quantification. The method can be applied to the analysis of samples containing niacin (vitamin B3), pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), pyridoxine (vitamin B6), biotin (vitamin B7), and cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12). I have tested the method by analysing two samples. I determined the vitamins in Siti vitamin instant drink with orange flavour and in CBD water-soluble drops with vitamin B complex.
