Analiza vsebine in uporabe referenčne zbirke v Veliki čitalnici NUK

Analizirali smo vsebino in uporabo referenčne zbirke v Veliki čitalnici NUK. Predstavljene so bile pretekle raziskave, ki so se nanašale na uporabo in analizo zbirke Velike čitalnice. Namen diplomskega seminarja je bil analiza izposoje iz zbirke, predstavitev vsebinske in jezikovne strukturo zbirke ter pridobitev podatkov, ki bi koristili pri razvoju zbirke v prihodnosti. Zbirko smo glede na stanje 8.3.2022 analizirali po jeziku, predmetnih oznakah, UDK za iskanje ter kodi za vrsto vsebine. Analiza izposoje se je nanašala na petletno obdobje 2017 – 2021 in je zajela katero gradivo iz zbirke se izposoja ter katero gradivo je največkrat izposojeno upoštevajoč kode za vrsto vsebine, UDK za iskanje in jezik. Število izposoj iz zbirke je bilo prikazano po letih in po posameznih mesecih v analiziranem obdobju. Prikazana sta upad oziroma rast izposoje. Ugotavljali smo vpliv epidemije COVID-19 na izposojo iz zbirke ter v katerih obdobjih so na delovanje čitalnice vplivale z epidemijo povezane omejitve. Razmerje med posameznimi naslovi iz zbirke in številom izposoj smo prikazali s potenčno krivuljo. Prikazano je razmerje med številom naslovov v zbirki iz različnih jezikovnih področij in UDK skupin ter številom izposojenih naslovov iz teh istih področij. Rezultati naše raziskave so primerjani s preteklimi podobnimi raziskavami.

• Title: Analysis of the content and usage of the reference collection in the Main Reading Room of NUK

Abstract

We analysed the content and use of the reference collection in the Main Reading Room of NUK. Earlier research on the use and analysis of the reading room collection has been included. The purpose of our research was to analyse the use of the collection, show the content and language structure of the collection and obtain data that would be useful in the development of the collection in the future. Based on data collected on 8.3.2022, the collection was analysed by language, term lists, UDC for search and type of content. The analysis of the use referred to the five-year period 2017 - 2021 and included which material from the collection was most often used. Use was also analysed based on the type of content, UDC for search and language. We showed the use of the collection by years and by individual months during the analysed period. We determined the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on use of the collection. We analysed the proportion between the number of titles in the collection from different language fields and UDC groups and the number of borrowed titles from these same fields. We compared the results of our research with previous similar research.
