The thesis covers an overview of the collection of “Nazi treasures”, such as works of art,
relics and other various objects that the Nazis attributed value to at the time. The theoretical
starting point of the thesis will be the analysis of the background of the “treasure” collection
operation, highlighting the background of the implementation. The basic purpose of the work
is to review the process of plundering valuables, works of art in Slovenia and to analyze
certain broader obstacles and ideas that were in the background. By analyzing the
professional literature, I will use a quantitative method to study the factors that guided and
dictated the course of the process of collecting "Nazi treasures". I will make a substantive
analysis of the collection of "treasures" of the wider European context, with a substantive
review of the plundering process in Slovenia.
