This diploma thesis focuses on the planning procedures for compensation of reactive power in electrical substation. In specific substation, in factory Revoz renovation of compensation devices was required. In the mentioned factory, where I also did a student work, I was trusted to study an analysis of renovation of compensation of reactive power in substation 10.
In the first part of diploma, I theoretically described reactive power and it's compensation. I also described types of compensation devices, which are used for the compensation of reactive power. In the special chapters I described harmonic components and transfer of electrical energy from it's power source to substation itself.
In the second part of diploma I was focusing on a specific substation. I described electric components and parts inside of facility. I presented two different types of measurements, which were taken on capacitators and a secondary winding of transformer. Based on the measurments, I came to the final conclusions and to the proposal for the compensation device renovation.
