With the development of mobile technology, the use of applications has become a part of everyday life. The apps gave us easy access to information. Their applicability has expanded, among other things, to the field of education.
In the thesis, we designed a prototype of a mobile application to help train and care for the dog. The app will allow dog owners to educate their pets right from home. In addition to exercises, the app will contain articles on dog health and care. In the theoretical part, we explored the concepts of user experience and user interface and what is their role in creating a good mobile application. We looked at ways to use illustrations and photos within mobile apps and websites. Finally, we explored the importance of colors and typography properties that are recommended for use in a mobile application. These findings helped us with the visual design of the application.
In the experimental part, we analyzed existing applications and made surveys and interviews. Based on the analyzed results, we created personas, user experience scenario, information architecture and wired model. This was followed by the design of an application where the main goal was a well-planned user experience.
The result of the diploma thesis is a prototype of a mobile application that allows the user to achieve their needs and goals in a simple and understandable way. The app will include dog training exercises and care tips, making it easier for the user to find information.
