Abstract
Namen diplomskega dela je bil razviti popolnoma ekološko embalažo, sestavljeno iz kartona in valovitega kartona, ki bi imela izolativne lastnosti, za prevoz temperaturno občutljivih živil, v našem primeru svežih rib. Namen in cilj diplomskega dela je torej bil razviti povsem ekološko embalažo. V teoretičnem delu je embalaža razdeljena na posamezne segmente, kam se danes uvršča in kakšno vlogo ima v sodobni družbi. Opisani so osnovni materiali, ki so bili uporabljeni za naš izdelek. Pregledan je bil trg podobnih produktov in ugotovljeno je bilo, da se v večini primerov še vedno uporabljajo določeni deli neekoloških elementov, kot sta polietilen in polistiren. Prav te elemente smo nadomestili z naprednim ekološkim disperzijskim lakom, katerega glavna lastnost je bariera, ki ustvari vodoodporno zaporo, hkrati pa ima certifikat za neposreden stik z živili. Za testiranje materialov in posledično izbiro najprimernejšega sta bila izbrana dva valovita kartona za zunanji ovoj, ki je bil nato sestavljen iz pokrova in dna, ter dva klasična kartona za notranji vložek. V eksperimentalnem delu so bile testirane osnovne lastnosti, površinske in mehanske ter strukturne lastnosti omenjenih kartonov. Izračunane so bile srednje vrednosti, standardna deviacija in variacijski koeficient. Za izdelavo embalaže je bil izbran vzorec V1 iz valovitega kartona za zunanji ovoj z gramaturo 592 g/m2 in vzorec V4 iz klasičnega kartona z gramaturo 300 g/m2 za notranji vložek. Končni izdelki so bili načrtovani v programu Artios CAD, sami izrezi pa narejeni na rezalniku Esko Kongsberg. Ekološka embalaža je bila z omenjenimi kartoni uspešno izdelana. Končna embalaža ima tako velik potencial na trgu, potrebne pa bi bile še določene izboljšave.

Title:Ecological packaging with insulative properties
Abstract:
In this diploma thesis we aimed to develop a completely ecological packaging, consisting of cardboard and corrugated cardboard, which would have insulating properties for the transport of temperature-sensitive foods, in our case fresh fish. The aim and goal of our diploma thesis was to develop fully ecological packaging. In the theoretical part, we divided the packaging into individual segments, where it belongs today and what role it plays in modern society. We have described the basic materials used for our product. We reviewed the market for similar products and found that in most cases certain parts of non-ecological elements such as polyethylene and polystyrene are still used. We have replaced these elements with an advanced ecological dispersion varnish. The main feature is a barrier that creates a waterproofness and at the same time is certified for direct contact with food. To test the materials and consequently choose the most suitable one, we chose two corrugated cartons for the outer wrapper, which will consist of a lid and a bottom, and two classic cartons for the inner part. In the experimental part, we tested the basic properties, surface properties, mechanical and structural properties of the mentioned cartons. Mean values, standard deviation and coefficient of variation were calculated. For the production of packaging, we chose sample V1 from corrugated cardboard for the outer wrapper with a weight of 592 g/m2 and sample V4 from classic cardboard with a weight of 300 g/m2 for the inner insert. The final products were designed in the Artios CAD program, and the cut-outs themselves on a Esko Kongsberg cutter. We have successfully developed and produced ecological packaging, with mentioned cardboards. Therefore, finished packaging has great potential in the market, but some improvements would be needed.
