Abstract
V sklopu diplomskega dela se ukvarjamo s Charpyjevim preizkusom, ki je poglavitni preizkus za določanje udarne žilavosti materialov. Pri tem preizkusu kladivo zaniha iz poznane višine, prelomi preizkušanec in zaniha do višine, ki je nižja od začetne. Razlika med začetno in končno višino predstavlja udarno žilavost materiala, ki ga preizkušamo. Naša glavna naloga je vgradnja obstoječega digitalnega merilnega sistema na Charpyjev merilnik z analognim merilnim sistemom. Rezultate meritev digitalnega merilnega sistema smo primerjali z rezultati analognega merilnega sistema in ugotovili vpliv vgrajenega inkrementalnega dajalnika zasuka na rezultate meritev. Ugotovili smo, da digitalni merilni sistem poda meritve z boljšo ločljivostjo in ponovljivostjo, vendar moramo pred začetkom merjenja zanj izvesti kalibracijo. Poleg glavne naloge smo preučili možnost merjenja pojemka kladiva preizkuševališča med lomom preizkušanca. Ugotovili smo, da dajalnik zasuka nima dovolj visoke frekvence vzorčenja za merjenje pojemka.

Title:
Installation of a digital measurement system on the Charpy measurement device
Abstract:
As part of our work, we deal with the Charpy test, which is the main test for determining the notch toughness of materials. In this test, the hammer swings from a known height, breaks the test piece and swings to a height lower than the initial one. The difference between the initial and final height represents the notch toughness of the material being tested. Our main task is to install the already existing digital measuring system to the Charpy test facility that has an analog measuring system. We compared the results from the digital measuring system with the results from the analog measuring system and determined the effect of the connection on the results. We found out that the digital measuring system gives result with better resolution and repeatability, however we must calibrate it before measuring. In addition to the main task, we examined the possibility of measuring the deceleration of the test hammer during the fracture of the test piece. We found that the rotation sensor does not have a high enough sampling frequency to measure deceleration.
