Abstract
Namen magistrskega dela je bil raziskati in analizirati promocijske tiskovine Savinjsko-Šaleške regije in raziskava obstoječega tiskanega materiala občine Šmartno ob Paki. Na podlagi ugotovitev smo oblikovali in izdelali brošuro in zgibanko za promocijo občine Šmartno ob Paki in predstavitev turistične ponudbe v občini. V teoretičnem delu smo opisali promocijske tiskovine, poudarek je na brošurah in zgibankah. Našteli smo so lastnosti oblikovanja tiskovin, od opisa barv in tipografije, do preloma strani, formatov in grafične priprave. Podrobno smo opisali postopke v liniji mehke vezave in tehnološke operacije v grafični dodelavi. V nadaljevanju je opisana analiza promocijskih tiskovin Savinjsko-Šaleške regije. Osredotočili smo se predvsem na oblikovne lastnosti, na kakovost tiska in dodelavnih postopkov, zanimala pa nas je tudi povezava med tiskovinami posameznih občin. V eksperimentalnem delu smo opisali občino Šmartno ob Paki, našteli smo glavne znamenitosti, aktivnosti ter tradicionalne prireditve. Pred oblikovanjem smo analizirali obstoječe promocijsko gradivo. Glavni cilj magistrskega dela je bil oblikovati promocijske tiskovine za občino Šmartno ob Paki. Oblikovali smo 36-stransko brošuro o turistični ponudbi občine (znamenitosti, aktivnosti, prireditve, gostinska ponudba in nastanitve, lokalni izdelki) in zgibanko z opisom občine in turističnoinformacijskega centra. Za vsako od predstavljenih kategorij v brošuri smo določili barvo, oblikovali ikono in izbrali slovenski ljudski pregovor, ki jo po našem mnenju najbolje predstavlja. S tem smo želeli simbolizirati pomen ohranjanja tradicije v občini. V rezultatih smo poleg opisov oblikovanih tiskovin podali še predloge za drugo promocijsko gradivo, kot so majica, pisalo in beležka. Cilj je bil tudi priprava smernic za poenoteno oblikovanje promocijskih tiskovin posameznih občin Savinjsko-Šaleške regije, saj smo pri analizi ugotovili, da do sedaj niso bile poenotene. V rezultatih smo tako navedli še priporočila za izbiro formata, uporabo barv in tipografije ter priporočila oziroma smernice za tisk in dodelavne postopke.

Title:Quality assurance of promotional printings and designing brochure on tourism in Šmartno ob Paki
Abstract:
The purpose of the master’s thesis was to examine and analyse print marketing materials of the Savijsko-Šaleška region and to examine the current print materials of the Municipality of Šmartno ob Paki. Based on the findings, we designed and made a brochure as well as a folded pamphlet for promoting the Municipality of Šmartno ob Paki and the local tourist offer. In the theoretical part, we described types of print marketing materials, with the emphasis on brochures and folded pamphlets. We listed the design features of printed materials, from colour description and typography to page breaks, formats, and graphic prepress. Furthermore, we included a detailed description of the procedures for soft binding and technological operations in graphic finishing. This is followed by the analysis of the print marketing materials in the Savinjsko-Šaleška region. We primarily focused on design features, print quality, and finishing procedures, while we were also interested in the connection between printed marketing materials of individual municipalities. In the practical part, we described the Municipality of Šmartno of Paki, listed main tourist sights, activities on offer, and traditional events. Before designing the brochure and folded pamphlet, we analysed the current print marketing materials. The main objective of the master’s thesis was to design print marketing materials for the Municipality of Šmartno ob Paki. We designed a 36-page long brochure on the tourist offer of the municipality (tourist sights, activities, culinary offer and accommodation, local products) and a pamphlet describing the municipality and the tourist information centre. We defined a colour for each of the presented categories, designed an icon, and chose a Slovenian folk proverb that we believe best represents the category. This was meant to symbolize the importance of preserving the tradition in the municipality. In addition to the descriptions of the designed print marketing materials, the results include proposed designs for other marketing materials, such as t-shirt, pen, and notepad. In the course of our analysis, we established that the style of individual municipalities of the Savinjsko-Šaleška region’s print marketing materials varies significantly; therefore, one of the objectives was also to create guidelines for a uniform design. Results also include recommendations regarding the format, use of colours, and typography as well as recommendations for print and finishing procedures.
