SODOBNI PRISTANIŠKI KONTEJNERSKI TERMINALI

Zaradi vedno večje globalizacije in pretoka tovora med kontinenti je narasla potreba po sodobnih pristaniščih in posledično tudi po kontejnerskih terminalih. Kontejnerji so najbolj inovativen način za prevažanje tovora med različnimi deli sveta prav zaradi podnebnih lastnosti, kot so uniformna velikost ipd. Kontejnerski terminali so zelo pomembni za sodobne globalne oskrbovalne verige, vendar se je zaradi podnebnih sprememb in vedno večje ozaveščenosti o okoljski problematiki razširila tudi potreba po trajnostnih praksah v pristaniščih, zaradi tega pa je nujno tudi to, da so kontejnerski terminali vedno bolj trajnostni. V pričujočem diplomskem delu smo prikazali vlogo pristanišč v sodobnih intermodalnih oskrbovalnih verigah, analizirali lastnosti in razvoj pristaniških kontejnerskih terminalov, trajnostne pristaniške kontejnerske terminale in podrobneje predstavili sodoben kontejnerski terminal v koprskem pristanišču. V nalogi smo prikazali, da lahko na področju razvoja sodobnih pristaniških kontejnerskih terminalov zaznamo različne trende, saj smo te prikazali tako na primeru globalnih kontejnerskih terminalov kot tudi koprskega kontejnerskega terminala. Prikazali smo tudi, da sodobno zasnovan pristaniški kontejnerski terminal pomembno vpliva na učinkovitost in trajnost intermodalne kontejnerske verige. Kontejnerski terminali so namreč pomembno vozlišče v današnji globalni trgovini, ki povezuje različne načine prevoza v vseh kontinentih, še posebej pa v sami kontejnerski verigi.

• Title: MODERN PORT CONTAINER TERMINALS

Abstract

Globalization and increasing flows of freight have caused a need for modern ports and container terminal as containers are the most innovative way to transport freight between different parts of the world because of their advanced characteristics. Container terminals are very important; however, the ever-growing climate concerns and awareness of environmental concerns have caused the need to implement sustainable practices into ports and the need for sustainability in container terminals. In the present diploma thesis, we presented the role of ports in modern supply chains, characteristics and development of port container terminal, sustainable container terminals and the Luka Koper container terminal. In the thesis we presented the fact that there are many trends in the development of modern port container terminals and we also showed these trends with the examples of global container terminals and the Luka Koper container terminal. We also displayed the fact that a modern container terminal has an important impact on the efficiency of intermodal container chains. These terminals represent crucial nodes in the global trade and they connect different modes of transport, which is especially critical in the container chain.
