Abstract
Prenova spletnega mesta je organizacijsko in izvedbeno zahteven projekt, ki mora upoštevati procese in zahteve, ki omogočajo zadovoljstvo naročnika prenove, zlasti pa zagotavljajo izboljšano uporabniško izkušnjo uporabnikov spletnega mesta. Pričujoče magistrsko delo se ukvarja s prikazom in ovrednotenjem izvedbe prenove spletnega mesta Alfastreet (www.alfastreet.si). Namen prenove je bilo boljše komuniciranje podjetja Počkaj, d. o. o., s svojimi obstoječimi in potencialnimi strankami ter integracija sodobnejših elementov spletnega nastopa, kar bi uporabnikom omogočalo boljšo uporabniško izkušnjo pri interakciji s spletnim mestom. Pri prenovi sem zato izhajala iz pristopa redesigna spletnih mest avtoric Goto in Cotler (2002). Posledično sem sledila njunim petim korakom prenove, ki vključujejo definiranje ciljev in projekta, informacijsko arhitekturo spletnega mesta, vizualno oblikovanje in potrditev, izdelavo in testiranje ter končno še objavo spletnega mesta. Po dokončanem razvoju polno delujočega prototipa spletnega mesta Alfastreet sem s pomočjo kognitivnih sprehodov, ki sta jih izvedla dva strokovnjaka za uporabniško izkušnjo, ocenila uspešnost prenove in morebitna dodatna priporočila za nadgradnjo redesigna. Rezultati kognitivnih sprehodov so pokazali, da je bila prenova v veliki meri uspešna, zaradi česar se pričakuje pozitiven odziv končnih uporabnikov v smislu njihove uporabniške izkušnje. Sinteza izkušenj ob prenovi tehničnih, vsebinskih in interakcijskih elementov spletnega mesta mi je v kombinaciji z rezultati kognitivnih sprehodov tudi omogočila oblikovanje dodatnih predlogov možnih izboljšav na spletnem mestu, ki sem jih v sklepu podrobneje ovrednotila in predala naročniku v obliki seznama priporočil.

Title:Presentation and evaluation of the Alfastreet website redesign
Abstract:
A website redesign is a challenging project in terms of organisation and implementation. It demands to factor in the processes and requirements that ensure the satisfaction of the website managers and, in particular, an improved user experience of website visitors. This master thesis presents the implementation and evaluation of Alfastreet website (www.alfastreet.si) redesign. The aim of the redesign was to improve the corporate communication of the company Počkaj d. o. o. with its existing and potential customers and to integrate more modern elements of the web presence, which would allow users to have a better user experience in their interaction with the website elements. Thus, I draw on the redesign approach of Goto and Cotler (2002). Consequently, I followed their five steps of redesign, which include defining the objectives and the project, information architecture of the website, visual design and validation, production, and testing, and finally the lanch and public deployment the new website. Once the development of the fully functioning prototype of the Alfastreet website was completed, I used cognitive walkthroughs, conducted by two user experience experts, to assess the success of the redesign and collect potential additional recommendations for further redesign improvements. The findings of the cognitive walkthroughs showed that the redesign has been very successful, which is expected to result in a positive response from end-users in terms of their user experience. The synthesis of the experience of the redesign in terms of technical, content and interaction elements of the website, combined with the results of the cognitive walkthroughs, also allowed me to create a number of additional suggestions for future upgrades of the website that are elaborated in more detail in the conclusion. These were also presented to the client as a list of design recommendations.
