Abstract
Pomorski promet letno izpusti okoli 920 milijonov ton CO2. Določene so funkcijske zahteve in specifikacije izdelka.

Title:Development of propulsion control lever for electrically driven vessels
Abstract:
Maritime transport emits around 920 million tonnes of CO2 annually. In 2013, the International Maritime Organization Commission set out a strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the maritime industry. NT Electric is developing an advanced nextgeneration integrated electric propulsion system for commercial and recreational zeroemission vessels. Replacing internal combustion engines with electric motors in vessels also requires replacement of control systems and devices. Therefore, it is sensible to develop a new lever to control the propulsion of electrically powered vessels, which is the aim of this master's thesis. Functional requirements and product specifications are defined. The choice of the main materials is given and the reasons for it are stated. The key elements necessary for the operation and functionality of the lever are presented, as well as the main tests, calculations and numerical simulations performed to validate the selected components and concepts. The lever to control the propulsion of electrically powered vessels is presented in its entirety with all components. A prototype of the lever has been made, which confirms its assembly and operation.
