Abstract
V diplomskem delu so predstavljene kristalne strukture štirih koordinacijskih spojin, ki sestojijo iz bipiridinijevega kationa ter heksafluoridometalatnega aniona. Predstavljene so spojine: 2,2'-bipiridinijev heksafluoridotitanat, 4,4'-bipiridinijev heksafluoridotitanat, 4,4'-bipiridinijev heksafluridostanat ter 4,4'-bipiridinijev heksafluoridohafnat. V primeru 2,2'-bipiridinijevega heksafluoridotitanata je protoniran samo en dušikov atom v 2,2'-bipiridinijevem kationu, v ostalih treh spojinah pa sta v 4,4'-bipiridinijevih kationih protonirana oba dušikova atoma. V diplomski nalogi sem se osredotočila na sintezno pot ter rezultate rentgenske strukturne analize posamezne spojine.

CRYSTAL STRUCTURES OF BIPYRIDINIUM HEXAFLUORIDOMETALLATES
Abstract:
The diploma thesis presents the crystal structures of four coordination compounds, consisting of a bipyridinium cation and a hexafluoridometallate anion. The following compounds are presented: 2,2’-bipyridinium hexafluoridotitanate, 4,4’-bipyridinium hexafluoridotitanate, 4,4’-bipyridinium hexafluoridostanate and 4,4’-bipyridinium hexafluoridohafnate. In the case of 2,2’-bipyridinium hexafluoridotitanate, only one nitrogen atom in the 2,2’-bipyridinium cation is protonated, and in the other three compounds both nitrogen atoms are protonated in the 4,4’-bipyridinium cations. In my thesis, I focused on the synthesis pathway and the results of X-ray structural analysis of each compound.
