Abstract
S podatki iz baze Cambridge Structural Database in programom Mercury sem preučila vezavo 3-hidroksipiridina, njegove tavtomerne oblike piridin-3-ona in piridin-3-olata v cinkovih in nikljevih kompleksih. V nikljevih kompleksih se 3-hidroksipiridin in piridin-3-olatni ion vežeta samo terminalno prek dušikovega atoma. Pri večjedrnih nikljevih kompleksih s 3-hidroksipiridinom centralne ione povezujejo oksalatni ali azidni ioni. Tudi v enojedrnih cinkovih kompleksih se 3-hidroksipiridin veže terminalno le prek dušikovega atoma. V večjedrnih cinkovih kompleksih sta piridin-3-on in piridin-3-olat, tavtomerna in deprotonirana oblika 3-hidroksipiridina, mostovna liganda. Piridin-3-on se mostovno veže na dva sosednja cinkova iona samo prek kisikovega atoma, piridin-3-olat pa prek kisikovega atoma na dva cinkova iona in prek dušikovega atoma na tretjega.

Title:Nickel and zinc complexes with 3-hydroxypyridine
Abstract:
The binding mode of 3-hydroxypyridine in complexes with zinc and nickel was investigated using data from the Cambridge Structural Database and Mercury programmes. In nickel complexes, 3-hydroxypyridine and pyridin-3-olate ions are terminal ligands coordinating only through one nitrogen atom. The central ions in polynuclear nickel complexes with 3-hydroxypyridine are connected by oxalate or azide ions. In mononuclear zinc complexes, 3-hydroxypyridine is also a terminal ligand coordinating through a nitrogen atom. Pyridin-3-one and pyridin-3-olate, the tautomeric and deprotonated forms of 3-hydroxypyridine, are bridging ligands in the polynuclear zinc complexes. Pyridin-3-one coordinates to two adjacent zinc ions via the oxygen atom only, while pyridin-3-olate coordinates to two zinc ions via the oxygen atom and to a third zinc ion via the nitrogen atom.
