Abstract

Title:Productvity and Well-being of Software Developers Working From Home
Abstract:
Working from home is an increasingly common way of working, both for shorter and long-term periods. Because this way of working is best suited for white collar work, this way of working is also attractive for software developers. The impact of working from home on productivity and employee well-being depends on several factors, so in this thesis we present a study of the impact of working from home on productivity and well-being of developers. We will explore the topic with the help of a questionnaire for employed developers who worked from home this year, where we will study the correlations of individual factors with productivity and well-being and perform a questionnaire on changing productivity and a questionnaire on changing well-being while working from home. We will compare the results of these questionnaires with the management questionnaire, where we will analyze the share of net benefits during work from home with the measured criteria of certain components of net benefits. Results of data analysis will be used in case study of participant companies. The result will be a model that shows the effects of working from home on the productivity and well-being of developers and the magnitude of the impact on said component. The results of the diploma thesis will be useful for both employers and employed developers in deciding on more efficient ways of working.
