Abstract

Title:Evaluation of liquid waste treatment by electrocoagulation
Abstract:
Liquid wastes such as oil-contaminated water from oil-water separators, emulsions, printing inks, aqueous waste solutions cannot be discharged directly into the sewer system and require pretreatment. In Slovenia, about 90 thousand tons of liquid waste are generated annually, which can be disposed after using physical-chemical treatment process. In this diploma thesis we evaluate the efficiency of electrocoagulation for treating various industrial liquid wastes. The tests were carried out on different liquid wastes and the treatment efficiency was evaluated according to individual parameters.
