Abstract
V magisterskem delu so predstavljene meritve sinhronskega reluktančnega motorja (SynRM) in asinhronskih motorjev (AM) s kratkostično kletko. Uporabljen sinhronski reluktančni motor, voden z ABB frekvenčnim pretvornikom (FP), dosega izkoristke razreda IE5. Cilj meritev je preveriti ali sinhronski reluktančni motor dosega tovrstne izkoristke tudi s frekvenčnim pretvornikom drugega proizvajalca. Z asinhronskim motorjem razreda IE3 z nameščenim tuje gnanim ventilatorjem smo opravili meritve pri različnih vrtljajih in obremenitvah preizkušanega električnega motorja. Med opravljenimi meritvami smo vzporedno spremljali tudi izkoristke obeh frekvenčnih pretvornikov, ki sta napajala trenutno preizkušana motorja. Iz pridobljenih izkoristkov smo nato izračunali tudi skupni izkoristek elektromotorskega pogona. Prikazan je izračun prihrankov in stroškov investicije ventilacijskega sistema v predoru Markovec, če bi obstoječo ventilacijo zamenjali z novejšo. V sodobnem ventilacijskem sistemu je predvidena uporaba frekvenčnih pretvornikov in IE5 sinhronskih reluktančnih motorjev.

Title:Energy efficiency analysis of modern frequency controlled electric drives
Abstract:
In the Master's thesis, measurements of a synchronous reluctance motor and an asynchronous motor with squirrel cage are presented. The synchronous reluctance motor used in conjunction with the ABB frequency converter achieves IE5 efficiency class. Aim of the measurements is to check whether synchronous reluctance motor can also achieve IE5 rated efficiencies with frequency converters from another manufacturer. Using an IE3 classified asynchronous motor with foreign-driven cooling fan installed, we preformed measurements at different speeds and loads of the tested electric motor. During the measurments we monitored the efficiencies of both frequency converters, which drove our tested electric motors. The total efficiency of the electric motor drive was calculated from obtained efficiencies. The calculation of savings and investments of the ventilation system in the Markovec tunnel is presented. The calculation is made if the existing ventilation is replaced with the newer one. The proposed modern ventilation system includes the use of frequency converters and IE5 synchronous reluctance motors.
