The master's thesis, entitled From a Minor to a Serial Killer, deals with serial murders committed by minors. Juveniles belong to the risk group of offenders, as adolescence is a period when persons are still vulnerable and not yet fully mature. This is why individuals need a good example, authority and love during this period. If they do not receive this, they may very soon find themselves in trouble and resort to delinquency. However, delinquency can lead to extremes, so we are interested in the answers to the question of what causes a minor to become a serial killer. In the theoretical part we define terms: juvenile, delinquency, family and serial killer. We also explained the types of families, types of serial killers and types of mothers raising serial killers. The thesis describes and analyzes in detail the cases of foreign juvenile serial killers, their lives, especially their childhood. The results of the analysis showed that all treated juvenile serial killers grew up in an unhealthy environment and had experienced violence. We have come to the conclusion, that there is not just one cause for the development of a serial killer; there are several causes that are so intertwined, and the bigest influence has certainly the family.
