Due to the constant and rapid advancement of technology, changes are taking place in all areas of life. The consequence of rapidly growing technology are also electric vehicles, which represent more environmentally friendly cars and a path to a more environmentally friendly road transport system. The interest in electric vehicles is growing sharply in Europe as well as in Slovenia, which is why electric car manufacturers are adapting to the growing demand for electric cars. However, consumers have not yet fully embraced electric vehicles, which are largely more expensive than petrol car, battery life expectancy, maintenance and ownership costs, and the availability of charging stations.
Electric vehicles make a key contribution to the establishment of a sustainable mobility system and reduce dependence on internal combustion engines. The enhanced promotion of electric vehicles plays an important role in the transition to a low-carbon society.
