The master’s thesis addresses the city in the
future through the prism of mobility. In two
parts, covering the theoretical research phase
and planning, the work first explains the
process of formation of urban compositions
and discusses the processes in society that
influenced the planning of urban structure. In
the second part, an in-depth analysis in two
chapters deals with the traffic structure in the
area of the Ljubljana urban region (LUR) and
its wider surroundings and the transport habits
of Slovenes in relation to the living needs
of modern man. The summary of the analysis
sets the basic starting points for the design
of the distribution platform. The work brings
together the logistical aspects of today’s distribution
practices and services that link civil
transport and freight transit. The final product
of the master’s thesis is a presentation of the
concept of a mobile application supported by
contemporary technological tools and guidelines
that will shape mobility in the future.
