Abstract
V diplomskem delu smo določili toplotne lastnosti visokotrdnih jekel PROTAC 500, PROTAC 550 in PROTAC 600. Uporabljajo se za protibalistično zaščito, saj imajo visoko trdnost in trdoto. Do sedaj pridobljene značilnosti o kemijski sestavi in mehanskih lastnostih jekel PROTAC 500, PROTAC 550 in PROTAC 600 so podane v certifikatih o kakovosti materialov. Potrebna je navedba toplotnih lastnosti, ki pa do sedaj še niso bile znane. Pri eksperimentalnem delu je bila izvedena analiza toplotnih lastnosti jekel PROTAC 500, PROTAC 550 in PROTAC 600 na napravi Hot Disk TPS 2200, ki deluje po metodi tranzientnega planarnega toplotnega vira (TPS). Meritve so bile izvedene v skladu s standardi skupine ISO 22007. Rezultati so pokazali, da se toplotna prevodnost povečuje z naraščajočim deležem ogljika v jeklu. Jekla PROTAC 500, PROTAC 550 in PROTAC 600 lahko uvrstimo med srednje toplotno prevodna jekla s toplotnimi prevodnostmi, ki pri sobni temperaturi znašajo 23,43 W/mK, 29.76 W/mK in 32,75 W/mK.

Title:Thermal properties of steel family for armour protection : diploma work
Abstract:
The diploma work investigates thermal properties of high hardness steels PROTAC 500, PROTAC 550 and PROTAC 600. They are used in ballistic protection, because their association with high strength and hardness. Properties gathered so far about chemical compositions and mechanical properties of steels PROTAC 500, PROTAC 550 and PROTAC 600 are given in data sheets of materials. There is a need to indicate their thermal properties since they are not yet available. Therefore in the experimental part of the investigation, the analysis of thermal properties of steels PROTAC 500, PROTAC 550 and PROTAC 600 was carried out on the device called Hot Disk TPS 2200, which works according to the method of transient plane source method (TPS). Measurements were carried out according to the standards group ISO 22007. The results have shown that thermal conductivity always increases in accordance with the increase of carbon content in the steel. Steels PROTAC 500, PROTAC 550 and PROTAC 600 can be classified as medium thermal conductive steel with values of thermal conductivity at room temperature that are 23,43 W/mK, 29,76 W/mK and 32,75 W/mK.
