Abstract
Z mikroskopom in digitalnim fotoaparatom smo njun videz primerjali z naravnim zobom. Metode dela: Uporabili smo deskriptivno metodo dela s pregledom obstoječe literature. Literaturo smo iskali predvsem v angleškem jeziku v knjižnici Zdravstvene fakultete in podatkovnih bazah, kot so: PubMed, Google Učenjak, ScienceDirect, MEDLINE. Rezultati: Slikovno smo prikazali in opisali tehnično izdelavo štirih različnih polnokeramičnih prevlek v zobnem laboratoriju in poskušali najbolje oponašati naravo naravnega zoba mladega pacienta.

Title:Comparison of monoliticand layered all-ceramic coverings in terms of aesthetics : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: In addition to the functionality of dental prostheses, aesthetic appearance is increasingly important nowadays. Above all, there is the need to mimic natural teeth, which is why it is necessary to know the basic theories of colours and their perception. There are many types of materials and manufacturing methods on the market thatcan can more or less mimic the natural appearance of a tooth. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to determine the aesthetic differences between two different techniqus of making a full ceramic coating. Apart from monolitic and layered zirconium oxide, there was also lithium disilicate ceramic coating which was fabricated and applied to the front upper incisor. In order to compare it to a natural tooth, a microscope and a digital camera were used. Methods: A descriptive method was applied by considering the literature that was available. Bibliography is predominantly in English and was searched for in the library of Faculty of Health Sciences and in the databases such as: PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Direct, MEDLINE. Results: The tehnical fabrication of four different all-ceramic veneers in a dental laboratory was illustrated and described, trying to emulate the best characteristics of a young patient's natural tooth. Discussion and conclusion: Based on the literature and completed restorations, it was demonstrated that monolitic and layered coatings are clearly different in appearance. Less opacity is also important for the aesthetic appearance of the front teeth, which is why the layered lithuum disilicate coating is more suitable for the front teeth. However, for the back teeth it is more appropriate to choose a layered coating of zirconium oxide due to higher resistance to wear.
