Abstract

Title:Effect of UVC radiation on visual and mechanical properties of polymer composite
Abstract:
The master's thesis presents the analysis of optical and mechanical properties of accelerated aging of polymer canvas with UVC radiation. To measure the colour change, a measuring chain was defined, which included capturing the average of the colours at the measuring point and the transformation between the colour spaces. The results of colour changes showed that lighter patterns changed colour even at the least irradiated parts. Minor changes occurred in darker patterns and in canvases with colour related to yellow. The tensile tests showed, on average, a decrease in the maximum transmitted force and an increase in elongation.
