Grad Gamberk se nahaja v občini Zagorje ob Savi, v vasi Ržiše. Čeprav so danes od njega ostale le še razvaline, je v preteklosti imel pomembno vlogo. Gospostvo je obsegalo precejšnje območje, imelo pa je tudi svoje deželsko sodišče. Vse od ustanovitve leta 1248 do njegovega propada, se je zamenjalo veliko lastnikov, v začetku tudi pomembne plemiške rodbine. Med slednjimi najbolj izstopajo ustanovitelji Galli, nato pa tudi Lambergi, Šteberški in Valvasorji. Ker pa je bil srednji vek zelo nemirno obdobje, tudi Gamberku ni bilo prizaneseno: kar nekaj kmečkih uporov, vmešavanje kosezov, preganjanja ...

Abstract

Gamberk Castle in located in municipality of Zagorje ob Savi, in the village Ržiše. Although today the castle is in ruins, it played an important role in the past. The nobility covered a substantial area and also had its own provincial court. From its founding in 1248 until its collapse, the castle had many owners, amongst them some important noble families. Some that stand out the most are Galls, the founders, then the Stebergs, Lambergs and Valvasors. However, as the Middle Ages were a very turbulent period, Gamberk was not spared either: quite a few peasant uprisings, cossacks' interferences, persecutions, etc.
