Abstract
V prvem poglavju predstavi vedenjske motnje, in sicer najprej terminološko oblikovanje tega pojma v zgodovini in stanje v sodobnem času; nato opiše značilnosti vedenja otrok in najbolj znane klasifikacije; nato predstavi dejavnike razvoja z modelom »SIVI« in zaključi z obravnavo in usmerjanjem otrok s čustvenimi in vedenjskimi motnjami v vzgoji in izobraževanju. Nadalje predstavi aktivnosti in terapijo s pomočjo konja. Opiše značilnosti konja, zgodovino terapevtskega jahanja in njegova področja.

Title:The Impact of Equine-assisted Therapy on Children with Behavioral Disorders
Abstract:
The master's thesis includes a presentation of behavioral disorders and horse-assisted therapy and, at the same time, shows the impact that horse-assisted therapy has on a child with behavioral disorders. The theoretical part consists of two chapters. In the first chapter, it presents behavioral disorders, i.e. the terminological formation of this concept in history and the situation in modern times. Then, it describes the characteristics of children's behavior and the most well-known classifications. Furthermore, it presents the factors of development with the “SIVI” model and concludes with the treatment and guidance of children with emotional and behavioral disorders in upbringing and education. In the next chapter, it focuses on horse-assisted therapy. Firstly, it presents therapy in general in children with behavioral disorders and then focuses on animal-assisted activities and therapy. It further presents horse-assisted activities and therapy. It describes the characteristics of a horse, the history of therapeutic riding, and its areas. It describes the main subtypes of horse-assisted activities and therapies and presents the situation in Slovenia. In the last part, it concludes with a connection between horse-assisted therapy and children with behavioral disorders. In the empirical part, the case study method is presented. By the latter, we wanted to determine how horse-assisted therapy affects the field of behavior, establishing social interactions, and motivation in three children with behavioral disorders involved in an educational institution. The data were obtained through observation which was assisted by an assessment scale, interviews with a therapist, educator, and children, as well as by ethnographic records utilizing which we described the selected events and our reflection.
