Abstract
Promocija zdravja zaposlenih v delovnem okolju so skupna prizadevanja vodstva in zaposlenih z namenom ohranjanja in izboljšanja zdravja zaposlenih. Ker se organizacije čedalje bolj zavedajo pomena promocije zdravja v delovnem okolju, je bil namen magistrskega dela ugotoviti, na kakšen način vodstvo Slovenskih železnic v družbi SŽ-Tovorni promet skrbi za promocijo zdravja zaposlenih, ki svoje delo opravljajo sede, ter katere koristi promocija zdravja prinaša zaposlenim v organizaciji. V teoretičnem delu je bil uporabljen komparativni pristop, ki povzema dosedanja spoznanja o promociji zdravja zaposlenih v delovnem okolju. Empirični del temelji na raziskavi, ki je bila izvedena po kvantitativnem metodološkem pristopu. Uporabljen je bil anketni vprašalnik, s pomočjo katerega smo pridobili vpogled v stanje izvajanja promocije zdravja zaposlenih v delovnem okolju. V okviru raziskave je sodelovalo 162 zaposlenih na sedečih delovnih mestih in ugotovljeno je bilo, da so dejavnosti, ki se v organizaciji že izvajajo v okviru promocije zdravja v delovnem okolju, pripomogle k večji ozaveščenosti zaposlenih o pomembnosti zdravja v delovnem okolju Slovenskih železnic. Prav tako smo ugotovili, da sodelovanje anketirancev pri promociji zdravja v delovnem okolju ni povezano z njihovim trenutno ocenjenim zdravstvenim stanjem. Primerjava rezultatov s tujim železniškim podjetjem Office of Rail and Road (ORR) je pokazala, da je 84 % zaposlenih na Slovenskih železnicah napotenih na obdobne zdravstvene preglede, medtem ko je v ORR le 15 % zaposlenih napotenih na obdobne zdravstvene preglede. Rezultati magistrskega dela lahko pomagajo in omogočijo različnim akterjem, tako zaposlenim kot organizacijam in celotni družbi, da se zavejo pomena zdravja in dobrega počutja zaposlenih v delovnem okolju, saj dobro počutje zaposlenih organizacijam prinaša koristi.

Title:Promotion of health in the working environment of the Slovenian railways
Abstract:
The promotion of employee health in the work environment is a joint effort of the management and employees with the aim of maintaining and improving employee health. As organizations are increasingly aware of the importance of health promotion in the work environment, the purpose of this master's thesis was to determine how the management of Slovenian Railways in the company SŽ - Tovorni promet aims to promote employee health among employees that mostly work in sedentary positions, and to assess the benefits of health promotion for the employees in the work organization. The theoretical part relies on a comparative approach to summarize the current findings on the promotion of employee health in the work environment. The empirical part is based on research conducted according to a quantitative methodological approach. A survey was used to gain an insight into the state of implementation of health promotion of employees in the work environment. The survey involved 162 employees of SŽ - Tovorni promet in sedentary jobs. The results indicate that the activities already carried out in the organization as part of the promotion of health in the work environment have contributed to greater awareness among employees of the importance of health in the work environment of Slovenian Railways. In addition, the participation of the respondents in the activities for the promotion of health in the work environment does not seem to be associated with their currently assessed health status. A comparison of the results with data relevant for the foreign railway company Office of Rail and Road (ORR) showed that 84% of employees at Slovenske železnice were referred for periodic medical examinations while in ORR only 15% of employees were referred for periodic medical examinations. The results of the master's thesis can help and enable various actors, both employees and organizations and society as a whole, to realize the importance of the health and well-being of employees in the work environment, while in turn the well-being of employees will bring benefits to organizations.
