Technological innovations have always changed the dynamics of content creation in the film and television world. With the development of artificial intelligence technology, which follows the content that the viewer is interested in and likes, streaming platforms have successfully come to life, which are now dictating trends in the world of production of television and film content. In my dissertation, I explore the impact of streaming platforms on viewing and ways of sharing television and film content with viewers. In my theoretical work, I showed the historical development of film and television content, which led to the existence of streaming platforms, which are now leading the way in the world and creating new phenomena. In the empirical part of the dissertatiton, I conducted a survey to find out what viewing habits random respondents have. Respondents mostly prefer to watch the series at home because they can adapt the viewing experience to their needs and desires.
