Abstract
V nadaljevanju smo seme uporabljenih sort zmleli, razmastili s heksanom in pripravili izvlečke s 70 % etanolom. Določili smo vsebnost fenolnih spojin s spektrofotometrično metodo Folin-Ciocalteu in ovrednotili antioksidativni potencial (AOP). Rezultati so največjo vsebnost fenolnih spojin pokazali v sorti 'Futura 75' (2,9 mg KK/g).

Title:Differences among hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) varietes based on agronomic performance and phenolic content of seed
Abstract:
Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) can be used for a variety of purposes. In the past, hemp was known as a yarn and oilseed; however, its prominence is increasing primarily due to useful nutritional qualities and positive health effects. A field experiment with different varieties of hemp was conducted at the Biotechnical Faculty laboratory field in 2019. The influence of sowing density (200 and 300 seeds/m²) on seed yield was investigated. The results showed that sowing density had no effect on seed yield. The highest seed yield with 9% moisture was that of the variety 'Futura 75' at the density of 200 seeds/m² and it was 419 kg/ha. This variety also had the highest absolute seed weight at this density, which was 19.1 g. Further more, the seeds of the studied species were ground, defatted with hexane and extraction was carried out with 70% ethanol. We determined the content of phenolic compounds using the Folin Ciocalteu spectrophotometric method and evaluated the antioxidant potential (AOP). The results showed the highest content of phenolic compounds in 'Futura 75' variety (2.9 mg KK/g). The highest ability to scavenge radical DPPH• was found in the extracts from the 'Fedora 17' seeds. We found that the variety with the highest phenolic compounds content did not also have the highest AOP.
