The bachleor's thesis deals with a part of the Slovene technical profession, which was connected
with Prague, namely at the level of education or work, and their newsletter Slovenski tehnik v
Pragi. First, the position of the Slovenes in the Habsburg Monarchy is outlined, especially with
regard to the national question, and the relations between the Czechs and the Slovenes, which
were sealed by a similar position in the monarchy. The perspective described in terms of
education and work in the field of technology in the Slovenian lands, and the consequent
departure abroad, is described below. This is followed by an acquaintance with the School of
Technicians in Prague and association and assistance to potential stakeholders. The most
prominent Slovenian students on the Prague technique and their later work at home or abroad
are listed below. At the end, the already mentioned newsletter is presented. After the inventory
of each of the numbers, a comment is written separately.
