Language counselling is an important activity which helps Slovenian language users to solve language dilemmas and through that also educates them about the language. The diploma thesis is divided into two sections. The theoretical section will discuss language counselling in Slovenia, from language corners to language counselling platforms; the analytical section will focus on a comparison of the language counselling platforms of four types of media (newspaper, radio, television and Internet), which discuss the topic of the use of reflexive pronouns. The counselling platforms will be analysed based on three select criteria – the democracy and method of counselling, the bypass options, and the contents of language counselling. The language counselling provided by the different media will then be compared with the counselling on the same topic provided by the Language Counselling Platform of the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language at ZRC SAZU.
