Abstract

Title:Reconstruction of a multi road segments (arms) intersection in Selo pri Vodicah : graduation thesis no.: 401/B-GR
Abstract:
The topic of the graduation thesis is the reconstruction of a 5 road segments intersection. I chose it because I live nearby and I noticed many problems every day that the implementation of the current intersection has for participants of various vehicles and pedestrians. For the purpose of designing a new intersection, I performed a vehicle count in the morning and afternoon rush hour. In what follows, I first examine the local problems and then start designing. I design in the autoCAD program where I follow various rules about roads, roundabouts and road junctions. During the design, I come up with several possible solutions, which I study in more detail and look for their advantages and disadvantages. In the end, on the basis of sound consideration, I decide for the one that least interferes within the space of agricultural land and at the same time satisfies the traffic loads in that area.
