Abstract

Title:Transition of women employment in Lower Vipava valley
Abstract:
The connection of history, dynamic population, and the employment structure is very strong in the Lower Vipava Valley. In this aspect, we emphasized women who had a unique and important role but whose contribution was often overlooked. Utilizing the analysis of the data (AJPES, ZPIZ, SURS, etc.) and telephone interviewing and interviewing via e-mail, we got an overview of the current situation of women's employment in the Lower Vipava Valley. The majority of women population in Lower Vipava Valley gravitated towards the industrial zones around Nova Gorica. The percentage of women labor in the industrial sector increased, especially in socialism. In the last decade, women in Lower Vipava Valley are mostly working in shops, gastronomy and tourism and also in manufactures.
