Delo obravnava položaj občine Ilirska Bistrica v času italijanske okupacije. Ilirska Bistrica je zaradi ugodne obmejne lege predstavljala pomembno vojaško postojanko. V delu je prikazan vpliv italijanske politike na prebivalstvo občine ter na njeno arhitekturno podobo. Pri pisanju sem uporabila različne vire, s pomočjo slik pa sem želela prikazati po eni strani izboljšanje infrastrukturne opremljenosti občine, po drugi strani pa negativen vpliv italijanske okupacije na lokalno prebivalstvo.

• Title: The municipality of Ilirska Bistrica between 1918 and 1942

Abstract

The work deals with the situation of the municipality of Ilirska Bistrica during the Italian occupation. Ilirska Bistrica was an important military outpost due to its favorable border position. The paper shows the influence of Italian politics on the population of the municipality and on the architectural image. I used various sources in my writing, and with the help of pictures I wanted to show on the one hand the improvement of the infrastructural equipment of the municipality, and on the other hand the negative impact of the Italian occupation on the local population.
